There is a place for everyone to belong to at Temple Israel because Temple Israel belongs to everyone. Temple Israel is an urban congregation, dedicated to serving a diverse community.
Our members are engaged through lifecycle events, Jewish text and Jewish living. For more than 125 years, Temple Israel has been a community of innovative worship, continuing education and cultural diversity. Temple Israel is inclusive of all people. Please join us in celebrating and exploring Reform Judaism.
In 2001, Rabbi Zimmerman became Senior Rabbi of Temple Israel, becoming the first woman Senior Rabbi of a congregation with more than 2,000 families. She has led our historic congregation through exciting events during her tenure. Our congregation beautifully renovated our magnificent sanctuary and celebrated our 125th anniversary. Temple's halls are filled with Jewish learning, spirituality and culture, just as the congregation has had for over a century, and just as it will continue to have for many years to come.
If you come for a year, we know you will stay for a lifetime.
