Bruno Chaouat is a professor at the University of Minnesota in the department of French and Italian Studies and the Center for Jewish Studies. His academic research addresses, among other topics, post-Holocaust art and literature. His work also examines the ideological, political and philosophical challenges faced by Jews in France. He focuses on the polemics of the new anti-Semitism in relation to the current Middle East conflict. A native of France, Professor Chaouat has taught at the University of Minnesota since 2002. He lives with his family in St. Paul.
