IT’S YOUR LEGACY represents a shared commitment by St. Paul area community organizations, schools, and congregations to work together to secure a more vibrant Jewish future.

IT’S YOUR LEGACY allows you to easily create a legacy benefiting one or more of the organizations that are important to you.

Creating your legacy empowers you to further the work and values that are important to you. You can:

PERPETUATE the Jewish traditions and values you cherish

PRESERVE the programs and organizations you care about

PLAN for your family’s philanthropic interests and enjoy tax advantages

Creating a legacy is a meaningful, personal way to honor loved ones, and to teach your children and grandchildren the value of philanthropy. By leaving a legacy you will help ensure a strong, vibrant and engaging community into the future.

You can make a commitment, either through a current or future gift to a local Jewish organization’s endowment fund, or by declaring your intent to remember Jewish causes in your will or estate plans.

Your legacy gift of any size can be customized and structured to fit your dreams, lifestyle, family, and financial needs. You can provide support for a particular institution or a broader area of interest (e.g., elderly care, Jewish education, summer camp experiences, programming for community members with special needs, or scholarships for Israel experiences.)

The facts…

The simplest method of creating your legacy is through a will or estate plan, or by adding (or changing) a beneficiary designation with other assets, such as retirement funds and life insurance. You can create a Jewish legacy with a percentage of your estate or a dollar amount that’s comfortable for you. You can commit a cash gift now that goes directly into the endowment. Some gifts can be structured to increase your current income, and the residual will benefit Jewish organizations you value. All of this can be done at no cost to you today.
